Last month my family went to the province to attend the wedding of my SIL. And instead of taking a flight which is the most practical means of transportation nowadays, the hub opted that we travel via road/sea trip. And though I was quite hesitant at first because it would took us one night and two days on the road plus a ferry boat ride in between, I gave-in to his plan. And gee, I was so glad that we did ,cause aside from the chance of seeing the beauty of the countryside,

approaching Bicol area
we get to bond with each other really well. Afterall, we got nothing to do inside the car as we travel but talk, munch junkies and sleep (except for the one driving of course). And as a bonus, we were able to sample/eat local delicacies everytime we made a stop-over for a breather and some stretching. Sure, roadtrip is physically tiring but at the same time FUN. Here’s a pic while our car is crossing the San Juanico bridge:

I have had taken a lot of shots lately and though I don’t have that talent to take great pictures, I have a few personal favorite from my file.
One of those is the picture of my son as shown:

My son at Lipata Port
This was taken in Lipata Port, Surigao City at daybreak while we are waiting for the ferry that would took us to Liloan on our way back to Manila. It was such a beautiful morning it could made you reflect and be awed by God’s great creations. HIS work of art is simply perfect!

Just got back from a family vacation and we sure have had fun bonding. But before we went to our little trips, we paid a vist for to our Lady of Manaoag as our way of giving thanks for all the blessings;

a visit to our Lady of Manaoag
It’s sure fun to visit old familiar places:

and new ones too;

in Disneyland- a childhood dream came true
But most of all, it’s nice to be back home, sweet home.

But then again, I agree with the saying that home is where the heart is. And for my family, our home right now is here,
in our little place - TOGETHER.

Earlier today sis J texted me and asked that we meet at the shopping mall near our place. And since niece J is also at my place to visit me and my son, I tag her along.
Yehey! Sis treat us to a lunch at Max’s. As usual, food was great. But more than that, we had a lovely time just being together and sharing our thoughts on just about everything. And what a lovely surprise, sis gave me her belated gift for my birthday, this purse in the pic. After our hearty lunch, we decided to watch a movie. Fun, fun ,fun. I sure would want to have more dates with sis in the near future. To mana J, thank you for being such a wonderful sister to me. The fact that you are the one who sent me to college, I am forever grateful to you. I love you sis and God bless you and your family, always.

Yesterday I turned a year older, age: forty something ($?). Thanks to all who greeted me thru email, text and call. It surely is heartwarming to be remembered. But like the past years, I opted to made no fuss about it and spend the day like an ordinary day. I was just at home doing my daily chores. But hub insisted when he called that I and my son dine in a restaurant of our choice. So when my son got home from school, off we went to Dencio’s. And we filled-up our stomach with these;
After the early dinner, we shopped for my son’s slippers and something for the living room. After which, we attended the 6:30-7:30 p.m. mass at our Parish. And just before we went home we bought a black forest cake to cap our little celebration.
Happy? Not quite. But I am grateful for everything. And I trust things will turn out just fine for my family and E clan in God’s perfect time. So I wish myself one more time…Happy Birthday!

I so love chocolates I can finish a big bar of it in a few minutes, the same goes with my son. In other words, matakaw kami sa chocolates, hehe. So when I learned yesterday that my neighbor would be shopping at Duty free, I requested her to buy some for us- may bayad, of course. Here I want to share it with you folks, have a bite. By the way, hubby said it would be his Valentines’ gift for us already (hehehe, ang daya! pero pwede na). Thanks a lot . Happy Valentine’s day to you. Though we are miles apart, you are always here in our hearts. Your son and I would like to tell you that we love you and we are thankful for all the things you have done for us. God bless us always.

“Ang puso ko’y nagpupuri, nagpupuri sa Panginoon, nagagalak ang aking espiritu sa aking Tagapagligtas…: Yup, I am humming this song of praise when I wake up today. My heart is so full of gratitude to the Lord for another answered prayer. He is really merciful and forgiving. And it’s true that once you will lift up everything to HIM, things will happen for the best according to His will. So now, with a heart full of gratitude, I say, Thank you dear Jesus. Mama Mary we love you. Please keep us always under your mantle protection, forever, AMEN.
Have a blessed day everyone.

The other day my neighbor/friend asked me to accompany her to Eurotiles in Silang- to canvass for ceramic tiles. On our way home, we passed a stall selling fresh/raw sweet corn. We bought some, and as soon as I arrived home I steamed it for our merienda. Take a look:
The verdict? Super sweet and yummy with anchor butter. Sarap talaga, promise. (note: looking at this picture makes me hungry-time for merienda)
Have a nice day!

Someone close to me is soon to be married and had requested me to help her choose/canvass for her wedding favors. The first place that came to my mind where to look for possible items is Divisoria and Ongpin. So this morning I went there but only found a few designs such as these
.
I don’t know if they will like these designs , so this coming weekend I will look for more interesting pieces maybe in Quiapo or Sta. Cruz. Really, got no other idea where to canvass for other designs. If you happen to know other sources, please let me know.
Can not update my blog as often as I want. Old folks are here with us for a vacation, so I’m quite busy in the house. Since I quit my job, I opted not to hire any help anymore…to save, hehe.
